I was excited today to receive my first edition of the Folio™ magazine that I signed up for. As I was skimming something caught my attention about all the latest hubbub about all the new e-readers and the article made me think.. Are they really worth all the hype? Sure new technology is great, but it has its quirks to. Take for instance one reader from Liberty News response to the article ” The day I walk through the park and see a person reading a digital book is the day that I’ll know e-readers have arrived”. If you really think about it if your out on a sunny day at a park with your e-reader won’t the glare off the screen affect your ability to read. I know taking my laptop out in the sun that the screen gets dark and their is just no way to read whats on the screen. Are they going to make cool nifty visors for them just so you enjoy a good book at the beach?? And what happens if water spills on it, does it dry out like a book? Sound like they all have some limitations, but thats just my thought.
